After 17 years, I’m leaving ABC News. I’m grateful for having worked with so many wonderful people & I’m proud of the 1000s of hours of TV we’ve made. It’s time for fresh challenges… more novels to write, a TV series in the works, and most importantly - more time with my family
This is the type of shoddy story that gets written when journalists don’t pick up the phone to ask a simple question.
@mjrowland68
is taking a well-earned holiday that has been booked for months. He’ll be back on News Breakfast in a month
There’s just so much to admire about this man - Sir Billy Connolly says he is 'near the end' and his life 'is slipping away' in new documentary

Of the two stories in the media today about Bill Shorten's mum, I’d urge you to read this one. Well said

Good article by Peter Hartcher in

A little bit of news from me… my first three books have been optioned for the screen 📺 by the awesome team at

It’s a sad day at

This is heartbreaking for Victorians who have endured so much during this pandemic in Australia. Hoping these numbers come down quickly. And everyone, everywhere - get vaccinated. Do not wait. Get it done.
2020 marks the 10th anniversary of

TV channel, and we’ve got a huge year coming up! Thanks to the millions of Australians who watch/stream us every week
Today’s the day! The Enemy Within is out across Aust/NZ. Took two years to write and it’s my proudest work to date. Covid may have complicated the book tour, but being locked down with my three favourite people ain’t all bad…
Pretty proud of this bunch of people. Through bushfires, floods, elections, pandemics and everything else that makes news. We’ve been doing it for almost 11 years
@abcnews
TV channel. Thanks team. You’re all awesome.
After 26 years at the helm of ABC News Victoria, Ian Henderson signs off tonight. Great journo. Great presenter. Great bloke. He knows his audience better than anyone. Hats-off to an amazing career. Taught me a lot too... and I’ll miss him.
@abcnews
Well, this is a little bit exciting ... first copy just landed on my desk. Thanks to the team
@SimonSchusterAU
... and for all you crime/ political thriller readers out there, May 1 release
The political pressure applied to the ABC behind the scenes over this story has been extreme and unrelenting. All credit to the ABC’s leadership for withstanding it. ‘Inside the Canberra Bubble’, tonight on

The fact
@MawunyoGbogbo
has to deal with these kinds of emails for just existing and doing her job is disgusting.
The ABC is better for people like Mawunyo.
We don’t talk nearly enough about the abuse women of colour in journalism face.
15 new cases overnight in NSW, all linked to Avalon cluster. A record 38,000 tests in last 24 hours... people seem to be doing the right thing. Amazing job by the NSW contact tracers. Let’s do this Sydney!

Here we go again... THE ENEMY WITHIN is out this August. I’ve got to say I’m pretty happy with this cover, and the little box that landed on my doorstep last night! See some of you book lovers at the Sydney Writers Festival next week
I’ve said it once and I’ll probably tweet it more often, but there isn’t another show like

This is just mind boggling. Beale gets a yellow card for deliberately knocking the ball down, Tomkins does an even more deliberate action and gets awarded a try. It’s not even 14 playing 15 anymore … it’s 14 v 16 players!

So… Wallaby Darcy Swain deservedly gets a two match suspension for a head-butt. But England’s Jonny Hill will play on with no punishment for pulling hair and slamming Swain in the head earlier in the game. Does not make sense. Video here 👇

Such sad news. Jim Graham had a signature deep voice that was made for broadcasting. He loved his job and the people he worked with. I’ll remember him as a gentleman who was never too busy to say hello and always willing to give a hand.
Gutted to hear of Jim Graham’s untimely death. A constant font of positivity in the ABC Melbourne newsroom, loved by all, and a consummate newsman. He will be deeply missed by colleagues and listeners alike.

Maybe FINA should stop worrying about criticising the brave young swimmers making a stand against drugs in sport and instead review the way it drug tests and manages international swimming. Just a thought.

Well said. Lisa is one of the best journalists I’ve worked with. The people who pile on this kind of unwarranted abuse are always the minority, but I think Twitter could be doing more to stop the rot on their own platform.
