Great news 🙏🏼 Cleared to start practicing again! Can not wait for the future. Thank you for all the support and love from every single person. Excited is an understatement 🏀🍊
I never really showed people all of my emotions through out my journey. My last interview in the Syracuse uniform meant a lot to me. I opened up a side I hadn’t shared before.
The quote “you never know what someone is going through, so be kind”. Resonates so well with me. 🧡🍊
Can’t express how much this means to me. Motivates and encourages me everyday. Thank you so much for this message and I can’t wait to be back on the court. Goodluck to you all this season. ❤️🙏🏼
Really inspiring stuff here from Syracuse star Tiana Mangakahia. Admire her perseverance: "It was really difficult to come back, and I just don't feel like I was the same, but I would just say that I'm proud of myself.
"It's just a blessing to be able to play this sport."
I am overwhelmed with the love and support I have received through texts, calls and direct messages since sharing my recent breast cancer diagnosis this. I wish I could reply to every single one of you. Please know that your kind words are being received. I’m truly blessed 💕
Breast cancer sidelined Tiana Mangakahia.
But not even that can stop one of the best players in the country from getting back to basketball.

@accnetwork
@CoachQatSU
@CuseWBB
@accwbb
for everything. Can not wait to be back on the court playing for SYRACUSE.❤️
I have to remind myself how far I have come. I beat cancer 2 years and 2 months ago and I only started back playing after chemo and surgeries which is about a year and 2 months ago, and I’m competing with some of the top players. Truly amazing when I put it in perspective ❤️🙏🏼🏀
Thank you! Thank you
@espn
for telling my story. Thank you to the most supportive coach
@CoachQatSU
and the Syracuse community for helping me embrace the comeback. I am blessed ❤️🙏🏼🥺
It’s sad when you don’t get what you want (minutes/contracts after college) you accuse others of things to make them look bad. If only I exposed some of my teammates for how they treated me once I was diagnosed with Cancer. 🥴
Literally cried watching the ACCN introduction!
“Cancer can take away all of my physical abilities. It cannot touch my mind, it cannot touch my heart and it cannot touch my soul.”
- Jimmy V 💞🥺
After everything I have been through, it’s hard for me to be upset about anything in my life. I know I will be back for the NCAA tourney. Love my teammates and so excited and proud to be Orange. 🧡🍊
I’m truly blessed for everything I’m going through right now. Even though I’m at one of my lowest points in my life, I know at the end of the day imma be at the top.
2 good things happening today! Treatment

First game back since being diagnosed with breast cancer?

dropped 16 PTS, 7 REB and 3 AST.
Been waiting on this return. So damn proud. An absolute fighter through and through. Physically and mentally. Forever one of my favorite stories.
This speech helped me so much throughout my battle. I hope everyone around the world can listen to this 💞 I will be forever grateful for people like Jim Valvano who give those going through hard time hope and positivity. 🙏🏼
"Don't give up ... don't ever give up."
28 years ago today, Jim Valvano delivered an ESPYS speech that we'll never forget ❤️

Four months ago we listened as your Dr. told us you’d need chemo that would last until October. It sounded like forever. Your strength and spirit made time fly. It was an honor to share this moment with you today. Chemo is over!!🥳🎉

I’m so proud of this team for pushing through a really tough schedule the last 3 weeks, with a lot of games in such a short period of time. Now we are back on our original schedule, I’m excited for us to show y’all how good we really are. 🧡🍊
