As of Fall 2021, Wake Forest has an undergraduate enrollment of 5,441. On Saturday, 4,233 WF students attended the Deacs football game vs. Duke. Add in 128 football players & the total was 4,361. 80% of Wake's student body was at Truist Field on Saturday. That's pretty crazy.

Today Dabo said the majority of starting QBs in the NFL are from the ACC. I thought, that can’t be right. Well. Current starting QBs in NFL by league:. ACC: 9 (Watson, Jackson, Rivers, Wilson, Winston, Ryan, Jones, Tribusky, Brissett). No other league has more than 4 right now.

If a fan's team can no longer play for a major title or play rivals/big brands, the fan will stop watching. They won't just adopt a new team, this isn't the NFL. At its core, CFB is a regional sport. That's what makes it great, but also why realignment is bad for the average fan.
It is incredibly hard to see right now, in particular if you're team is outside SEC or Big 10, but the long term outlook for fans is a good one. We will look back on these times as the moves that shaped a better post-season, more quality non-con games, & stronger governance.
