Has anyone looked for Rafflesia thrips? That would be a very fun distribution study.
I have finally seen a Rafflesia, which is a holoparasite of the liana Tetrastigma, which are themselves structural parasites. Furthermore, horizontal gene transfer has occurred many times between Tetrastigma and the Rafflesia. We were able to find multiple growth stages!!
