This makes U of T the third postsecondary school in Canada to mandate COVID-19 vaccines for those on campus, following Seneca College and the University of Ottawa.
Those who declare that they are not vaccinated or choose not to say must take rapid-screening COVID-19 tests twice a week and demonstrate a negative result 72 hours before coming to campus, on top of any public health measures.

The Varsity’s follow-up analysis shows that a total of 101 donations, worth 11,536 USD in total, were made using email addresses from Canadian universities. One further donation of 500 USD was made from a personal email address of a U of T alum.
In June 2017, The Varsity sat down with up-and-coming Toronto artist, grandson. A year later, The Varsity caught up with grandson to discuss the major changes that had occurred in the last year, including a new label, new mentors, and new projects.
In an email, U of T President Meric Gertler wrote that U of T will also divest from all direct investments in fossil fuel companies within the next 12 months. Story to come.
BREAKING: In an email to students, Arts & Science Dean Melanie Woodin wrote that U of T "is temporarily suspending the need for a doctor’s note or medical certificate for absences because of cold or flu-like symptoms, or due to self-isolation requirements."

UPDATE: Though CAUT’s censure on U of T is now suspended, it will not be formally lifted until the CAUT Council’s next meeting. CAUT added that there are still other concerns at U of T that need to be addressed.

BREAKING: Arts & Science students will no longer be required to write in-person exams for the winter session, according to a message from the Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences Melanie Woodin.
Sarah Ingle, the report's author, said that she began researching after she learned how academic integrity cases at U of T used metadata as evidence during their trial.
NEW: Some larger groups, such as Citizen Lab, and some individuals representing legal practices, such as Saron Gebresellassi and Sherif Foda, are taking a stand against the university in other ways.
