As antiexpansion as the next person but going to 72 seems dumb. Thats just 2 extra games. You cant just put 3 games each day in Dayton. Almost have to do 76 with 2 games Tues/Wed in Dayton & 2 games Tues/Wed elsewhere. You could have a 630/9 tip in Dayton and a 7/9:30 tip.
Heading home after four days on the recruiting trail. Was surprised to learn plenty of coaches are content to stay at 68. Some like 72; most I spoke to think 76 is overkill. Overriding sentiment from most of the ~15 I spoke with was: "I don't really think we need to change it.".

Love Omer. But Omer was also 1/9 in their first game this morning. Don't know if that is "filling it up".
Purdue signee Omer Mayer is playing up in age and filling it *up* for Israel at the European U20 Championships. Unlike recent stars for the Boilers, Mayer wonât catch anybody by surprise at Purdue. You can see this guy coming from 6,000 miles away.

Cluff and DJ are true centers. The only other possibility would be Burgess, but he certainly looked like a 5 last year. I do think Paint will try it earlier in the year. If DJ can shoot mid to high 30s from 3 on ~2 attempts per game, it may work.
@TheRebuildingYr No idea about Murphy yet but I think thatâs really the only question mark. Unless Cluff can play WITH DJ but I only see that as a possibility with the right matchups.

I had it more like this but minutes will be extremely tight this season. PT will be tough to find for Benter, Burgess & West. I don't think anybody else can play the 4 besides TKR & Murphy. Smith 35.Cox 19.Loyer 30.TKR 30.Cluff 20.Mayer 18.Harris 18.Murphy 10.Jacobsen 20

It is an unarguable FACT that more mid majors will get at large bids if the field is expanded. You literally cannot argue otherwise (though many are trying).

By this logic, the Pacers should clean house if it's "really freakin' hard".
Oh, itâs just my opinion that the #Pacersâ title window closed with or without Myles Turner because itâs really freakinâ hard to win it all. But Tyrese Haliburtonâs opinion is the only one that truly matters. The team has to explain a better plan to him than just âtrust us.â.

This all correct. Not a NBA salary cap expert but can someone tell me if Turner would have signed the same deal with the Pacers, and they traded somebody like Obi Toppin, would they be under the luxury tax?.
A lot of 'Simon' talk in my mentions here. I don't see this being a Simon issue. Once you go into the tax, your clock on your championship window essentially starts ticking. With Hali down a year, starting that clock now doesn't really make sense to me.

lol no they were not. Allegedly offered 3/60, which is embarrassingly low. Now that said, this upcoming year is unfortunately a wash anyways, so they have from now until the start of the 26-27 season to find their next center.
Herb Simon is taking a beating on Twitter, and itâs not fair. The Pacers were willing to go deep into the luxury tax to keep Myles Turner. You wouldnât know that from reading other people, though.

For a 1yr rental, I don't hate Westbrook in Carlisle's offense. Way too much momentum and buzz to just throw next year away.

Ok now that next year is shot (and hell maybe even the year after) do you still re-sign Turner?.
Bc of how the NBA cap works you basically have to. They can make a move for another player and re-sign Turner . They won't be able to make a move for two players if you let him walk . Pacers have to re-sign Turner and should re-sign him even if he's been very bad in the Finals.

He may not technically be wrong, but I wouldn't agree with "faking" it. They'll be one of the best teams all year long then we'll see how the tournament bracket shakes out.

Jamaica is an enigma in Concacaf. I donât understand how they continually let themselves down. Guatemala just played them off the Pitch. It was a great and fully deserved win from âLos Chapinesâ in front of an awesome LA Crowd. đŹđč.

As long as the SEC and ACC play 8 game conference schedules, it makes 0 sense for Purdue to play the 9 game B1G schedule and schedule tough non-con opponents. I think there is also something about winning games and building confidence going into conference play.
y'all are roasting them and rightfully so but I have to admit it would be amazing to enter a Purdue Football season with a guaranteed 3-0 start, just once. Just to see it happen ONCE instead of knowing Notre Dame is lurking.
