Canceled my trip to NYC to see Cubs/Yankees because the 5 people remaining at the NWS forecasted nonstop rain until next week. The 5 days I was going to be there now look amazing.

When I was 5 I knew a pageant girl & asked my mom if I could enter the one she’d just entered. Girl’s mom laughed because it was in the Jr Miss IL org & I was “unfinished.” . I entered, won, & declined going on to Jr Miss America because I only wanted to beat that girl & her mom.

Fireworks always look shitty on video, so this does it no justice… but believe me when I say you’re hard pressed to find a spot to see more fireworks going off at once in the city. Hundreds by the minute.
