This rhetoric is so pervasive and lacks class consciousness. So much woe is me for the “middle class” who “want to work” as if those who are availing of governmental assistance are not working.
The Irish government have made Ireland the least attractive place for the younger generations. When I was out canvassing the amount of people telling me that their son or daughters had no choice but to emigrate because there was nothing to keep them here (jobs or places to live).
