Here is an example of some of the challenges that exist for people in council housing in Cork. Cork City Council spent €1,500 per home on maintenance last year—€1,000 less than other councils. The Budget Meetings is tonight. We’re meeting at 5 PM outside City Hall, join us!

UPDATES ON JOSIE'S CASE 1/2 🟢 Plumber visited Monday to fix issues in upstairs neighbour's bathroom 🟢Plasterer promised to come Tuesday or Thursday (weather-dependent) for repairs. He didn’t come Tuesday, so expecting him tomorrow.

On 16th Nov, her home flooded when a neighbour’s washing machine burst. A plumber broke holes in the ceiling to prevent collapse but left promising to return on Monday. Josie is now left in unsafe, hazardous conditions all weekend.

I'm afraid dereliction in Drogheda will become like the shoes on the stairs. After a while you don't see them anymore. Passing these the other day I ask how long can hoarding and scaffolding be left there with no work done and how a takeaway can operate in a crumbling building?
