Have been chasing my tail for a bit playing catch ups. Taking a break to read the new book delivery whilst visiting the grandparents.

5/5 Who have said there’s something more and beyond the giftedness, adhd, ASD. Its been a battle from PP to yr 5. BUT what if I didn’t have access to to these things? Which sadly is a reality for so MANY. We really need to do better for our kids.

4/5 Our journey is not done yet. My kid is a skilled reader, now. He can’t write (it’s a processing thing). Even the “top” diagnosing body of WA didn’t quite get it. Selling me a product that has no solution. So we are here talking to a team of highly specialised people.

3/5 But what if I didn’t know how reading worked? What if I was relying on the education system to get it right for my kid? What if I was earning below the poverty line? So many what ifs that are people’s realities.

2/5 As a sole parent it’s a struggle. Scraping all the pennies, finding the RIGHT specialists and ones that will fight for me when I’m mentally done. On top of that making sure my kid doesn’t crumble and teaching him to self-advocate. My kid ❤️s learning. Wants to be an engineer.
