Apparently the old link to this is no longer working. If you're looking to put writing interventions into your school and help children with their sentence writing here are my training notes based on the book 'The Writing Revolution.' https://t.co/srJjgP5VVx

Revisiting this *fantastic* book by @ChrisYoules as I plan our first major narrative of the year. It's the best book out there on writing fiction, and my teaching would be far poorer without it. Really, get yourself a copy.

Life Goal ✅- Tom Sherrington has recommended our book 🤯 We can retire now right, @efraimlerner?
Change Starts Here by @leaningshane and @efraimlerner is terrific. Read it over the weekend - it's a great read. The 40 questions are so well considered. Personal favourite: What would Jo say? (Jo being a member of staff). Recommend this for anyone leading in a school.

Really excited as we near completion of Reviving Rhetoric! @ProfArleneHH and I want this to be a practical read that leaders and teachers can use to implement teaching rhetoric in schools. If you have a success story to share, esp. Primary - do get in touch to contribute!

Amazing hike today up to a temple carved into the side of a mountain. Plus, it had its own waterfall.

I'm watching Lord of the Rings with my 6 year old daughter, and she's coming out with some classics: "Why is Billy Bongo crying?" (Bilbo B.) "Are they going to Mt Doom to fight the dorks?"

Today felt like one of those prioritisation in-tray interview exercises, but it lasted for 8 hours.

I really enjoyed recording this podcast with Shane Leaning (although the heading below makes me look like a megalomaniac 🤣) https://t.co/LQcQii884Z

"You can have the best educational ideas in the world, but that doesn't mean they'll actually get implemented." This week I sit down with @ChrisYoules, author of "Teaching Story Writing in Primary" for one of the most honest conversations about change in schools you'll hear.

I chucked everyone's details in a randomiser and the winner is @CABaysEnglish. If you DM me your postal address, then I will get the book sent out to you.

"Before this year, I didn't know a sentence could be good or bad." How can we get students to pay attention to the quality of sentences they read and write? Provide lots of good models, analyze them, and have them create their own with lots of feedback. Link in comment
