Excited to officially announce that I’ve accepted a position as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the Southwest Minnesota State Basketball program. Huge thanks to Coach Bigler and Coach Smith for the opportunity. Beyond excited to be starting my coaching journey here.

Man, what a year. I love these guys and I consider myself so lucky to be able to learn from such a fantastic staff, and to be able to coach such amazing people! Great season this year fellas, so much to be proud of. Thank you seniors!

Good luck to every hooper back in NE getting ready to play for a district title tonight. The atmosphere in the gym will be special, don’t take it for granted🤝And you already know who i’m rooting for tonight, lets go Sparts!
@EastHighBball
Blessed to be starting my basketball coaching journey! My DM’s are open to any coaches that want to connect and I’ve began my search for Graduate Assistant and High School coaching opportunities. Any advice or knowledge on the process is appreciated!! (1/2)
@RisingCoaches
WOW! Okay, this one makes no sense. Has Old Dominion not seen either of these two play? Coach Richardson must be throwing out the offers. Little to no skill or weight on these two.
Hello Coaches! I’m still actively looking for GA and High School Coaching opportunities. DM’s always open!
• 4 Yr. Varsity Basketball Player at the Division III Level ✅
• Team Captain✅
• Sportsmanship Award Winner✅
• Community Engagement✅

S/O to all the college and high school seniors having Senior day this weekend! Appreciate the journey we’ve been through and let’s cherish our last times hooping with our brothers❤️🏀
I’d love to hear opinions on what can be done to improve the work-life balance of coaches. Many coaches that step away cite the fact that they haven’t been able to be the best family person they could be. I fear this a lot as a young coach, so how do we do better?
If you’re a hooper, you should be checking out all these Rico Hines runs on youtube. The messages they give at the end apply to any level, don’t miss out on free game
AAU coaches in MN, NE, Dakotas, IA, and WI please DM me 16U & 17U rosters and schedules when you’ve got those all finalized‼️Thank you and excited to connect🤝
Hastings Boys Basketball (
@HastingsTigerBB
) hosted a youth camp this week for boys in first grade, through eighth. They even had guest campers like former D-2 Minnesota-Morris baller, Tath Dak (
@TathDak
) to join in on the fun!🏀
Great showing by this squad
@Midwest_Live
. Brady Christiansen is the real deal! He averaged 20.6 ppg this tourney, was also super active on the glass and on the defensive side.
@BradyChristia15
Stay tuned for some other standouts I watched this weekend!
17U National 1 with a 77-54 win over OSA - Freeman to win the Midwest Live 17U Division.
Brady Christiansen (Pius) led with 17 pts, Mason Strong (Omaha North) added 15 and Jack Hastreiter (Pius) with 12.
Great to see my HS teammates thriving in college, wish I could’ve been there today! But man the amount of bball talent going through East’s hallways from 2014-2020 was crazy, blessed to be a Spartan basketball alumni🤝
Disgusting, I expect better from supposed “leaders” of my Alma mater👎🏿Diversity is what made my Morris experience as fulfilling and rewarding as it was.
Wrote my first article for Prep Hoops on some very underrated seniors in NE. Go check these guys out⬇️⬇️⬇️ But i’m super excited to cover the vast amount of talent in my home state🏀💯.

Final from LL: Lincoln Lutheran 55, Arlington 52
The Warriors advance to the final round tomorrow at home. Also I couldn’t deprive Twitter of seeing the best dressed announcer in the state!
#nebpreps
Agreed, stuff like this is so corny to me. Our basketball values are so backwards today. Everything now is about going viral or making it it pro/D1. What happened to hooping for the love of the game?
Gotta stop promoting this. Tournament director should’ve called the game immediately. If sportsmanship isn’t being promoted and demanded by the adults then what do we expect the kids to do? Everyone is gonna say “senseless violence” when someone reacts to this behavior
Seeing the pain on a kids face while his parent is screaming directions at him the the whole game is the worst. This kid is a 3rd grader man just let him hoop🤦🏿♂️
Good luck to all the HS basketball teams back in NE as they’re getting ready to start tryouts and practice this week! I remember how nervous I was going into tryouts back in HS, I urge all you players to trust in the work you’ve put in over the offseason.🤝
What a huge win for DC West. Historic might be a better way to describe it as they stop the third longest winning streak (boys) in state history! Congrats
@DCWestHoops
After a great visit, I am excited to have received an offer from Mount Marty University. Big thanks to
@CollinAuthier
and the rest of the staff for this amazing opportunity!
Great coach but an even better person! One of the first people to ignite my love for game of basketball as a middle schooler at Lincoln Lutheran. All your work is appreciated!

Lincoln Southwest pulls out a hard fought win against Kearney 68-55.

@PrepHoopsNE
(Unofficial stats)
LSW
Rylan Smith - 18
Lukas Helms - 16
Ben Hunzeker - 10 (and a ton of steals)
Bearcats
Jack Dahlgren - 16
Jack Mundorf - 11
Parker Wise - 10
I understand that the broadcaster’s for these games are knowledgeable but man, the amount of back seat coaching they’re doing this game makes me want to turn my volume all the way down🤦🏿♂️
Powerhouse Hoops 17U Platinum 1 Roster: Player Analysis. Have a mix of 2021’s looking for an opportunity this spring and underrated 2022’s you have to keep an eye on👀
@PrepHoopsNE
@PowerhouseNe
It was nice starting the season 4-0 against good comp. but it was even better talking to 6 college coaches about my players, introducing my players to them. We could have went 0-4 and it would still have been a successful weekend as long as they get noticed
OSA 3SSB 17U: Nebraska Player’s Analysis. So much talent from NE and IA on this squad. In this round of previews I looked at the NE players on the roster. No doubt this will be a top squad in the country this summer.
@PrepHoopsNE
@OSACrusaders
The
@UMMorrisMBB
schedule for 2021-22 has been released! The Cougars will host 12 home games this season, starting with the season opener on Nov. 5. There is also a trip for an exhibition game at Division I foe South Dakota State in December!
#RollCougs
And to be clear this doesn’t mean just scoring a bunch of points. Go prove you understand defensive positioning, go rebound at a high level, make the simple/correct reads consistently, move w/out the ball, TALK ON DEFENSE, etc.
If you’re playing freshman and think you should be playing JV, go out and dominate in the freshman game
If you’re playing JV and think you should be playing varsity, go out and dominate in the JV game
Instead of telling everyone you should be playing up, go prove it.
I am extremely proud to announce that I have committed to Concordia University to continue my academic and basketball career! I would like to thank the Concordia coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this amazing opportunity!

I’ve said it before but i’ll repeat it,
@jared_bohrer
(2022) needs more college attention. He has unlimited confidence and pairs that with unlimited range. He’s not extra with his handle, he gets to his spots and makes great decisions with the ball. Excellent leader as well.
Got to watch so many talented hoopers this weekend. There’s always too many to count, but here’s a few standouts that I personally got to see.
@PrepHoopsNE
(2024) Bhan Buom keeps getting better and more confident. He’s doing a better job of attacking closeouts and knocked down his open three point opportunities. He’s also not afraid of the moment and seemed to always make that momentum changing play in games this week.
@BhanBuom
We love you so much. We pledge to try to live up to your standard as a teammate, friend, and brother every day. We won’t be able to, but we’ll try. We’ll never forget you and we can’t wait to see that smile and wrap you in a hug when we get home for good.
SCC (NE) has quietly been killing it on the recruiting front. If these new pieces mesh with an already solid core from last season, look for them to be in the national tournament mix again next season.
🚨Looking to cover as many Team Camps/Leagues as I can this June! Coaches, players, and parents of Nebraska, feel free to DM me schedules/info or email me at Tathdak

6’7 Forward Lam Kuany is going to have a big rest of July for the Iowa Barnstormers. Excited for coaches to see his poise in the post matched with his confident stroke from 3. His added strength has allowed him to bully even more down low and he catches anything thrown his way.⬇️
Favorite Players i’ve watched in the playoffs so far:
1.Luka Doncic
2.Devin Booker
3.Kevin Durant
4.Damian Lillard
5.Kyrie Irving
6.Nikola Jokic
7.Bogdan Bogdonovic
8.Trae Young
9.Donovan Mitchell
10.Kawhi Leonard
Incredibly thankful for the opportunity to attend the Intro to Coaching event by
@RisingCoaches
It was amazing to hear from so many great coaches all around the country, I hope to impact lives the way they do one day. 🙌
2024 PG Taye Moore (
@TayeMoore_
) had a very productive weekend. Averaged nearly 20 a game against the top bracket teams. He was one of the standouts I wrote about👀
@PrepHoopsNE
Starting 402 CHAOS NATIONAL 2024 PG
@TayeMoore_
is a PROBLEM!! Pound for Pound the Best and most skilled PG in NE for class of 2024!
@Tath_Dak
@PrepHoopsNE
Taye Moore (2024) and D’Marius Shumaker (2025) are going to be giving opposing backcourts problems for years to come. Two guys that are knock down from three and have a lightning quick handle.
@LSEBBasketball
Has some dudes! These young guys compete every night.
I love teams that play aggressive defensively but just b/c it isn’t a foul on the AAU circuit doesn’t mean it won’t be in college. Work hard on D but let’s not practice constant fouling.
I don’t have a preference for level when it comes to the GA opportunity, any level would be a blessing. For the HS opportunities i’m looking for spots in Minnesota and Nebraska, but am open to anywhere in the Midwest. Excited to connect! (2/2)
