Four teams in last Tuesday's CFP rankings have played three or more teams ranked inside the top-15. Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma have played three. Texas has played FIVE. There's no competitor this season that has played even close to as tough a schedule as Texas has.

I love that Texas plays the big games. We’ve seen great games with OSU, Michigan, Bama, USC, LSU and Notre Dame this past years. But if you told me losing to undefeated #1 Ohio State week 1 on the road by 7 cost us a chance at the playoff I’ll gladly play an FCS team instead.

Texas A&M is excellent proof of why the playoff committee has to evolve and stop grouping teams by the loss column The Aggies were 11-0 and they deserve a spot, but the SEC schedule they played compared to OU, UGA, Bama, etc. was night/day. There’s instances of that everywhere.
