While this doesn’t beat the earliest Horns Down I found, it’s pretty darn close. Sent to me by my good friend @mudcat75979 from the Netflix documentary, America's Team. This is Arkansas throwing the horns down in 1964. Would love it if someone could find one older than 1963.
It’s unclear when ‘Horns Down’ was first used, but @thedailytexan featured a Baylor student doing it in 1963, bringing media attention to the new phenomenon. Until anyone comes forward with an older photo, Baylor gets full credit for its first usage.
