Tajikistan continues to lead global action through:.✅ The #DushanbeProcess — connecting global water goals to national action.✅ The 2025 International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation — culminating in the Dushanbe Declaration on Glaciers ❄️.

🇹🇯 is home to vital glaciers and rivers, yet faces growing risks from glacial retreat, floods, and mudflows. Disaster resilience and climate adaptation must be front and center. 🏔️🌊.

Yet, the hard truth remains: without urgent action, water-related goals of the 2030 Agenda will not be met. I also called for bold, sustained efforts leading into #2026UNWaterConference, co-hosted by 🇸🇳 Senegal and 🇦🇪 the UAE — with full support from Tajikistan.

The 2023 #UNWaterConference, co-hosted by 🇹🇯 & 🇳🇱 marked a historic moment — over 840 voluntary commitments& imp.outcome: the appointment of the SG’s Special Envoy on Water and the launch of the UN-wide strategy on water and sanitation. 🌐.

#Today @ 7th Special Thematic Session on Water&Disaster, I reaffirmed 🇹🇯’s commitment to advancing global water cooperation from the 2023 Conference in New York to the 2026 Conference in Abu Dhabi. Water must remain a top political and development priority. 💧
