@AIDAzerbaijan, @UNOSSC & @OECD co-hosted a #FFD4 high-level dialogue titled, “Emerging Development Partners: Enhancing #SouthSouthCooperation in Achieving the #SDGs”. UNOSSC looks forward to strong collaboration w/ Emerging Development Partners to advance the Sevilla Compromiso.

📌 @UNOSSC Director @DimaAlKhatib1 and Elmaddin Mehdiyev (@M_Elmaddin), Director of the 🇦🇿 Azerbaijan International Development Agency (@AIDAzerbaijan), discussed next steps in scaling up #SouthSouth partnership following #FFD4, including engagement during #LLDC3 in Turkmenistan.

The Basque Agency for Development Cooperation (@eLankidetza) is the Basque Government’s tool for planning and managing development policies. It hosts the Secretariat of the @Local2030 Coalition in Bilbao.

📌 Director @DimaAlKhatib1 and Javier Cortés Fernández, Director of the Basque Agency for Development Cooperation (@eLankidetza), explored scaling up collaboration during #FFD4, including engage thru the emerging development partners network in providing finance for development.

The @Local2030 Coalition is the 🇺🇳 @UN System-wide platform and network for supporting and accelerating the localization of the #2030Agenda – convening partners to mobilize, empower and support local stakeholders in co-creating, incubating and investing in scalable solutions.

📌 At #FFD4, UNOSSC Director @DimaAlKhatib1 and Sébastien Vauzelle, Head of the 🇺🇳 @UN @Local2030 Coalition Secretariat, discussed how to leverage both #SouthSouthCooperation and #SDG localization to further enable impactful and inclusive sustainable development.

With unsustainable debt and large financing gaps weighing on many countries the #GlobalSouth, it is of utmost importance to enable #SouthSouth exchanges on innovative financial solutions and instruments, for a better global debt architecture and national debt management systems.

🗨️ The potential of #SouthSouth and #TriangularCooperation is immense and can deliver through the use of tested instruments and approaches, said @UNOSSC Director @DimaAlKhatib1 at the #FFD4 Roundtable 5 on “Realizing a development-oriented sovereign debt architecture”.

Also explored were joint planning and next steps in support of the new #TriangularCooperation Window under the 🇺🇳 @UN Fund for South-South Cooperation (#UNFSSC).

📌 On the sidelines of #FFD4, @UNOSSC Director @DimaAlKhatib1 and Hicham Baiz, Head of #TriangularCooperation and Sustainable Human Development Projects at the Agence Marocaine de Coopération Internationale (AMCI), discussed potential partnership opportunities.
