I’m always encouraged to hear support for our members. This week’s meeting with our local MPs was a great opportunity to have real conversations about issues our members face. Thank you for recognizing the commitment of the officers who serve our city w/ professionalism & pride.
Thank you for the opportunity to meet with our local MPs to discuss the issues that matter most to our communities: gun violence, youth crime, cannabis shops, and the growing disorder in our neighbourhoods. We're encouraged by your positive comments and the strong support

Reducing crime and increasing public safety has become one of the top priorities. As chair of Toronto Caucus, it was vital for me to meet with the @TPAca, who represents all police officers in Toronto. We must work closely with them to ensure safety in #DavenportTO and #Canada.

Today, Canada’s new government introduced the Bail & Sentencing Reform Act. Stricter bail. Tougher sentences. Stronger communities. These sweeping reforms are going to help keep violent & repeat offenders off our streets and restore Canadians’ confidence in the justice system.
