The Labour Party’s lying over the China Spy Trial is absolutely staggering - and the DPP, who runs the CPS, isn’t having any more of it.

This means ministers lied to Parliament. This goes all the way to the PM now.

Tonight's developments are very troubling. The govt would be wise to give a full and honest account of the events that led to the collapse of the trial before the attempt to cover up or brush it aside becomes entirely unsustainable.
