Looks like @EricaStanfordMP can’t count: if you announce $700 million in classroom spending then save some of that money by having cheaper classrooms the saving ISN’T new spending to then announce as a NEW $100 million.

The govt's shares in power companies & SOEs aren't "tangible assets", either - but they're an interest in key assets hocking off old schools, rather than building homes, parks, amenities - feels like govt trying to sell anything not nailed down to try to fix its fiscal hole
