NZ has one public servant for every 83 people. Who are they and what do they do all day? Why did the last Govt hire so many? I’m back in Stuff today with a deep dive trying to answer those questions: https://t.co/KqMugnEluy

i think if you were very pro this becoming a law you’d probably want it to be pulled a bit later so ACT wouldn’t have as strong a reason to reject it, or more evidence was available from Australia/UK ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

a new favourite conspiracy i am seeing is that the biscuit tin isn’t truly random. all i will say is that it is literally a biscuit tin and you can even see the numbered tokens that go in.
Mysteriously "randomly" drawn out at the same time various similar bills are being rushed through throughout the West globally Grifting globalists and their hacks don't like decentralised information

The OEM is called 海兰云 (HiCloud) based out of Shenzhen. Here's one of the compute pods as it's being dropped into the the water. I think this from their demo project in Hainan, because I know the water off the coast of SH doesn't look like that (it's murky and cloudy af).

luxon: we shouldn't try to boil the ocean here china: we shouldn't????
China has completed building the world's first wind-powered underwater data center. Servers use external seawater for cooling, without energy-hungry AC. It's a win-win: saves electricity and maintains optimal server temperatures.

Will NZ join Aus in trying to ban under-16s from social media? A National MP's members bill doing just that was drawn today - but ACT are "unlikely" to back it, which puts the ball in the Opposition's court.

With a state of emergency declared in canterbury and red wind warning for the mega strike day, one has to wonder how many schools would have been shut anyway...the vagaries of weather!

Labour's second policy (if you don't count the GP thing) has details but is teensy - an extension of a rebate for gaming they put in when last in Government

Labour MP Duncan Webb won't seek re-election. He told me that he "wasn't in trouble" and this wasn't a bet on Hipkins not being able to win. He wanted to be able to enjoy the South Island again, including skiing on Saturdays. PR below:
