The writing, delivery, and mixing/cutting don’t mesh. No rhythm to the movie. Things just feel like they’re happening. It is a shame, though, because the costumes, sets, story, music, and acting talent are all too notch.

Yiddish is so cool. It's basically a special Jewish dialect of German, written in the Hebrew alphabet with many Hebrew loanwords, that over centuries grew different enough to be its own language. I wish Anglo-Saxon England had Jews, so I could learn “Judeo-Saxon”!
