I don't watch CNN why is Ana Kasparian just chilling there next to him
Ben Shapiro on Zohran Mamdani's victory speech: "He said, 'There is no problem too big for government to solve and no matter too small for government to care about.' I mean, that is what totalitarians would say." https://t.co/4n2qAN3HoG

His utopian vision for Israel is a theocracy where God is the only true king and the earthly leader is downgraded to a "nasi" (prince/steward)

Basically, a lot of the Bible is based on God's promise to David's line. Doesn't matter how sinful later kings get, God doesn't break a promise. Then comes Ezekiel and says "fuck them kings, God isn't coming to save you until you start behaving"
Everyone remembers Ezekiel's wacky visions but what's interesting about him was what a political and religious radical he was compared to usual biblical thought, to the point it's kind of surprising he made it into canon

It was apparently a thing for locals to sabotage the roads to make it harder for Ottoman authorities to arrive. Trade and travel was only done on animal-back, as the roads were too poor for carts up to the late 19th century
@Boxy_FT @he8fgEe71QYzSXm You're wrong. I've read quite a few such travel accounts. They don't say the roads suck, they say THERE ARE NO ROADS!!!

Ottomans never had real control over the desert areas and Bedouin tribes made their whole living off of highway robberies and taking protection tributes from settlements. Good thing the Negev is nothing like that now...

Amazing how every travel account from early modern Palestine (16th-19th century) is like "this is a shithole, Ottoman authority is nonexistent, the roads suck, and you WILL be robbed blind by Bedouins"

Being Jewish, he can't shift to being more groyper-friendly the way someone like Matt Walsh can. So he's trapped to being politically in 2015 forever

A basic problem Ben Shapiro has is he isn't "cool". He had his day pwning college SJW's but he doesn't have the humor and charisma to speak to zoomers that Fuentes obviously (unfortunately) does

It took the concepts of reincarnation and escape from Samsara from Vedism, which would explain why it never had the same appeal in India. They already had this

I wonder if the key to Buddhism's success in places that prior only had simple pagan folk beliefs (China, Japan) was that it had the same appeal as Christianity - promising a good reward after death (even if Nirvana is not the same as Heaven)
