Wait, you already did this a couple of times now? We did, and have changed how we do some things based on it, such as pivoting our beginner materials away from written towards video based on survey feedback.

What kinds of questions/what are you trying to learn? We want to know how people do image analysis, how they learn image analysis, what kinds of things are easy, and what kinds of things are still hard (and why).

Who should take it? Anyone who has analyzed a microscopy image.

How long is it? ~30 q’s, mostly multiple choice. It should take 5-15 minutes, depending how much time you want to give in the open-ended responses.

Because the hardest folks to reach are the ones who don’t know where to start (aka here!) or don’t even know what’s out there, so those are the ones who probably need help the most but currently have the least ability to access it, and we want to fix that.
