and budgets - HMI pay is 72,000 a year, day inspection pay is £330. OFSTED budget is £150 million a year. Bonuses are awarded to OFSTED senior leaders usually between 5000 and 20000. In a school funding crisis, surely this is wrong.

So this morning’s big dilemma for me is whether to bin my School’s Direct files now I’m an RQT+1 (yes I trained very late...😉). Anyway flicking through & found the nicest piece of feedback I think I’ve ever had. I hope I will always be this teacher 🤞🏻❤️

Have felt so incredibly deflated & disillusioned in recent weeks after the tragic death of Ruth & the 💩 offer from Gov’t. Then you remember why we do the blood, sweat & tears. This girl absolutely hated maths when she started year 6 & had 0 confidence. Her smile says it all ❤️

Just found out H’s 2nd cousin has just passed away from COVID related complications. Early 60s. Double jabbed. At a family party 3 weeks ago fit as a fiddle, playing his guitar & singing, ‘The Town I Loved so well.’ Absolutely shocking. Take nothing for granted 😢🙏🏻💚💚

Incredible act of generosity to start the day today. A parent Governor donated £500 of Amazon vouchers to help disadvantaged children/families in our school community this Christmas. Staff in tears. Kindness is priceless

My MiL is a legend. 94 this year & still full of questions & curiosity. As girlfriend to her youngest, she was formidable & we had some run-ins but she is an incredible lady and its an honour to spend time with her 💚🇮🇪
