In the interests of a genuinely informative event, still some spaces available for an in-depth tour of the #EcoBungalow this weekend. https://t.co/T2BQk1aOPb

I’ve found Twitter to be mostly a positive experience: learned new stuff, connected with interesting people. But it’s become a cesspit. I’m putting things on hold. I hope it returns to the genuinely informative place it used to be.

Except this is King George IV’s Brighton home which he loved. Designed by architect John Nash, an admirer of Indo-Islamic architecture. This was later a hospital for Indian soldiers in WW1 who fought for our freedom alongside white British soldiers. Let’s get our country back!

We’re hearing a lot from Reform UK how these protests is legitimate anger of people who have been ignored. Sorry, we had a General Election just four weeks ago. Reform put forward a racist agenda, only 14% backed it. Time for them to stop being apologists for racism and thuggery

I set a time limit of 2 hours a day for Facebook, Twitter and Insta a while back. Have never hit it. But today I did. Sorry Twitter (I’m never going to call it X) is FAR too interesting today so I’ve overridden the control. #GeneralElection

Interesting. Despite all the positives, Reform's share of the vote is deeply worrying. This puts it into a wider perspective.
UKIP 2015: 3.8m votes - 12.6% Reform 2024: 4m votes - 14.3% The media narrative could easily be: why hasn’t the hard-right made more progress in the last ten years? But it isn’t.

Four Green MPs. The highlight of the election. Well done @TheGreenParty - now hold Labour to account.

In fact Labour barely put on any vote share at all. It's up by 1-2% from Jeremy Corbyn in 2019. This is a story about Conservative collapse. Nigel Farage made it into Parliament. But Reform is in second place in 98 seats, many of which in northern England to Labour. That is

So much to process this morning. 4 seats to Greens, high profile Tories OUT, massive vote share to Reform (but doesn’t seem to have translated to seats), handful of independents beating Labour. Going to be a nervous, cautious Labour government I think.
