God, the way that FromSoft wows the player at the main entrance into Leyndell, you see a little bit of the city between two walls, go down the corridor, and get this massive view from the top of a city you can almost completely explore. Just masterful.

When people dismiss Berserk as just a violent power fantasy, it is this whole ass chapter that I point to. Berserk is about overcoming trauma and a man just trying to defend/avenge the only person alive he has ever truly loved and who ever showed him love in his shitty life.
Revenge for the dead was driving Guts crazy so he barely had time to sit and think but with Godot's wise words he finally had a moment of realization. He admitted to himself that the only thing which prevented him from losing himself was his love for Casca..

1 in the art book, Tifa’s dress shows up first and has an extra alternative sketch, art books usually suggest orders of importance
2 Tifa’s trophy comes first after Cloud’s 1/

Don't listen to those haters, do yourself a favor, give the endgame a try, decide based on your own experience. As long as you open yourself up to levelling HP, since the game encourages you to by providing massive gains, the endgame won't be rough at all.

I don't understand posts like this. Yes, Elden Ring is different in some respects, but as a dark fantasy RPG, it is a successor to Dark Souls the same way Dark Souls is a successor to Demon's Souls. This isn't a Bloodborne or Sekiro situation. You literally have a Dark Souls game

Sekiro does, and Bloodborne kind of does?, but no, unusually for a Japanese dev team, they solely have an English version, and that's it. The only other team that is similar is FF14 and SE's CBU3, which still have a Japan dub but put greater emphasis on the English dub.

Yeah, the reason I think I always found these two and their dynamic fascinating, and probably why it resonates with a lot of people, is how grounded and realistic it actually is. Very subversive for JRPG and anime tropes to not have either lover be "special".
I love Cloud & Tifa bc of how they subvert fantasy tropes. They're not chosen-ones w/ magical powers or divine birthright, but they aren't reluctant, reject-the-call types either.
They're just two country kids in love who face their traumas & find the strength to save the world✨

Yeah, I am pretty sure I have never heard of any unused content for Sekiro, bosses, npcs, areas, etc. Obviously, some of the games have more or less unused content to degrees of significance too, in terms of quantity and types of changes in development.
One game that sort of benefits from this though is Sekiro, where if you peek behind the curtains you'll still just see Sekiro. It's a game that was strongly led by its creative vision and seems to have executed on its intentions mostly without issue.

Can I also just say, that for me, this is possibly FromSoft's most visually pleasing game? Both the Remembrance bosses and various locations are stunning in color choice, etc. Previous games had individual areas (Anor Londo, Majula, Fountainhead), but this game is just pretty.
