For the record, I am NOT against helping homeless people or having them in the business district of my ward. I am against the known over-saturation of services in one area of #LdnOnt. I am for ACTUAL help, not enabling. I support pathways out of homelessness & addiction & sex

@Twolfrecovery They pay $6900 a mos for me to stay at a motel in Hollywood that is toxic. Out of 61 residents 3 are not fentanyl addicts. I check in every 72 hrs for an hour then back on the street. The agency running it wants me to exit the program. The PM 2.5s are often 300 - 500 in my room.

What about London, Ontario? How much has funding increased? How transparent are funding expenditures? How many OD deaths happen in housing run by non-profits with taxpayer money? What amendments to upcoming contract renewals might improve results, accountability & transparency?
San Francisco now spends $1.6 billion on non-profits. Much of it for "homeless services." But, homelessness hasn't gone down. Overdose deaths haven't gone down and 30% of all OD deaths happen in housing ran by non-profits with city money. 🧵
