Stunning. What has made America great is our alliances and our partnerships. Peace through strength is stronger with allies. EuroAtlantic community moving coherently in the IndoPacific is huge for what Colby espouses: strategic denial. So, why?. America alone = America last.

The 2% target was discussed in 2012 NATO summit and agreed to in 2014, with a 2024 target. The number of NATO allies crossing that threshhold during Trump's first presidency was fewer than those there before he arrived, and fewer than those doing so in the Biden presidency.

@WarMonitor3 Regardless of whether you love Trump or despise him, one thing is clear: He was right to call out NATO countries who had been failing to live up to their commitment to spend at least two percent of their GDP on defense. One can feel free to criticize how he went about delivering.

". Intelligence is useful not because it is easy, but because it is hard. Gathering information that is intentionally kept secret is difficult and dangerous. Using intelligence, as military and political leaders are charged with doing, requires judgment and humility.".

“Good intelligence informs decisions; it does not justify them. And it should never be delivered—or received—with hubris. In war and in policy, humility is not weakness. It’s a virtue that respects the gravity of any tough decisions being made.” My latest in @BulwarkOnline.
