The Merry Wives of New Milton (in er…New Milton) was another brilliantly funny show from the excellent @ThePantaloons. No idea how they script it but just go and see it. A hoot.

Another great review of @ThePantaloons Merry Wives of Windsor: "perfect raw material for the company's irreverent approach to the bard... The ensemble cast were uniformity excellent". Two weeks left to catch it!

The @ThePantaloons Merry Wives of Windsor was absolutely superb tonight. @al3xr1vers’ Falstaff probably my favourite portrayal ever, and not just because he made so much of my audience suggestion he try flossing as a wooing technique. All the usual brilliant nonsense.

Hello #AcademicTwitter, please give me your favourite examples of Shakespeare appearing on stage and screen as a character *specifically as a narrator or chorus*. Any time period, but 1900 onwards even better. Any and all suggestions and RTs very much appreciated! #EarlyModern
