“Reconquista” rests on an anti-apostolic, anti-conciliar ecclesiology. “Mainline churches” are not *real* ecclesial units. The Church is constituted in dioceses gathered around a bishop in apostolic succession. You cannot “retake” a denom because the Church is not a franchise.

This. Discipline > motivation. Daily prayer > one off zeal. Gym routine > new year resolutions Fasting with Church > fad diets. Dates nights with wife > Grand gestures Weekly sabbath > burnout vacation Consistent discipline > blow-up punishments Holiness is formed by habits.
Discipline beats motivation every time because discipline relies on settled character and virtue, while motivation relies on emotions and feelings.

WHOOP said batería baja this morning and took me back to being 14 with my (no sabo) parents in Mexicali. I’d only had one year of Spanish and confused three shopkeepers asking for baterías when I needed pilas (never got ‘em). Weird how memories come back at strange cues.
