My occultation image inspired me to have another go at Mars. This is the best I've ever got and, comparing to the Stellarium image from the same time, shows the smudges are real not just rubbish processing Never gonna be a @peachastro or @tw__astro but I'll settle for that

Hi guys @StellariumDev @StellariumLabs This archaeologist @LD_daofeichang used multiple cultural relics (from ancient China and ancient Egypt) in conjunction with Stellarium to investigate and verify celestial phenomena and historical events that occurred on April 15, 16317

Exciting news! We're hard at work on a VR version of Stellarium Mobile, and it's coming soon to Oculus Quest 2 and 3. 🌟 If you've got a headset, why not join the alpha testing and be part of the journey? We'd love your feedback! https://t.co/kMwOamWfpn

The show was driven by archeoastromer Georg Zotti, who presented an experimental version of Stellarium that he developed for his research on ancient skies. The audience consisted of a mix of Cultural Astronomers gathered from all the continents and general public from the city.

Yesterday evening I saw Stellarium running in the 25m planetarium dome of Jena, Germany. It's in this city that Zeiss performed the first unofficial planetarium show exactly 100 years ago, in 1923.
