Me when reading for the 500th time how Jedi surviving Order 66 in Canon is worse because it "happens so often" compared to the "spaced out way it happened in Legends" when there were about 45 introduced from 2005-2007 alone.

For example, Bastila Shan uses a yellow lightsaber in KOTOR (my 2nd favorite sw project ever).

I’m surprised he was even able to fight, him WINNING would have been a stretch.

I definitely prefer recasting.
Two of the best acting performances in the history of SW (Ewan McGregor in ROTS and Genevieve O’Reilly in Andor) came from a recast. Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover did a good job in Solo too.

I definitely prefer the Legends version. Give me the Luke that learned from the mistakes of the past Jedi, rather than repeating them.
Remember…It was Anakin’s EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT to Luke that saved him from Palpatine 😉
In Legends, Luke’s New Jedi Order allowed emotional attachment and even marriage.
In Canon, as shown with Grogu, Luke maintained the old Order’s ideology of forbidding emotional attachment.
I’m not sure which version I prefer…

Darth Maul surviving was a net negative for Star Wars.
His return led to some good stories in TCW/Rebels, but it started the trend of dead characters being revived. Now, death and lightsaber stabs don’t mean anything in SW, and the stakes are much lower.

In Legends, Anakin’s force ghost tried to apologize to her, but she completely rejected and still hated him.
However, she eventually forgave him after reading Shmi’s diary and learning about Anakin’s childhood on Tatooine.
