In Luke Skywalker's final moments, he faces down an entire army, peacefully bringing them to a halt, comforts Leia in the wake of Han's death, apologizes to Ben for his mistakes, and dies with a sense of purpose and redemptive hope. It's a perfect sequence.

Iโve always felt like both โMon Mothmaโ and โMon Calamariโ being introduced in the same film meant that at some point in development, Mon was intended to be a titleโ and Mothma and Calamari were the names of two Rebel leaders.
When I was young reading Star Wars annuals and reference books, I was so certain (for no reason at all) that Mon was a title rather than a name. I thought she was called like Jane Mothma but the rebels had appointed her to be their Mon.
