Our latest addition is this beautiful specimen of a St Helena Giant Earwig (Labidura herculeana). It has been returned to the island thanks to the efforts of the @SHnationaltrust and entomologist Danni Sherwood. Sadly it's now extinct, having not been seen since 1967.

Year 8's from Prince Andrew School visited the Museum, Jamestown and then Rupert's over the past 2 weeks to learn about slavery on St Helena. Slavery was an ubiquitous part of the islands history. We looked at artefacts and visited places associated with slavery on the island.
