🧵2/3 The system uses UV & white lights to attract and image moths/other insects. High-capacity storage allows long sampling periods of image collection, while battery and solar allow for deployment away from mains power. Sampling schedules can also be customised 💡📸🦋 #SHCFP

🔦 Time to shine the #Spotlight on St Helena’s #endemic Bryophytes! The 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐶𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑙𝑒𝑗𝑒𝑢𝑛𝑒𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑒, is very small and usually not noticed – it is, however, a beautiful jewel under magnification 💎🔬 #SHCFP

A Career Talk was recently delivered to 29 students of St Helena Secondary School (aged 13-14) with lively discussion and good interest in conservation careers🌟 This film ( https://t.co/xTeHjXv6DY) was also played to give the students an insight into a key role under our #SHCFP

🧵 3/4 These stations allow water level data at catchments to be available via the LI-COR Cloud portal in real-time. They also have the capability to send an alert when water levels become critically low so that mitigation measures can be put in place more efficiently 🚨 #SHCFP

🧵 2/4 Previously, surface water levels were read manually on-site via a stage board, however this information can now be accessed remotely in real-time from three monitoring sites, thanks to the expansion of the telemetry network using Hobo MicroRX Stations 🌐 #SHCFP
