We'd love to see some of your favourite Hodge moments.

A moment of serenity as the churchyard rests beneath a dusting of fresh snow, disturbed only by a scattered pattern of urban fox paws (and the boots of Mark the gardener!)

Tomorrow at 12.30pm we take part in a service of Regret, remembrance and restoration at Crossbones Graveyard on Red Cross Way where we remember those buried in this unconsecrated ground, including the medieval sex-workers, licensed at that time by the church but rejected in death
Faces of Lockdown 7 - When you wake up and stare at the ceiling for a bit remembering that you’re in the midst of a series of catastrophic historic events changing the face of the world forever. Also you have emails.
Hodge continues to make the place very much his own. He has met the Mayor of London, the Sacristy is full of plush cat beds he has abandoned in favour of a cardboard box, passing priests are being gently bullied by this face into playing with feathers on a string.
Find out about our new arrival

One year ago, those who planned the

Tomorrow is the 3rd anniversary of the London Bridge and Borough Market attack. We are honoured to have had a corbel dedicated to
@BTP
PC Wayne Marques installed on the Cathedral in 2018. PC Marques was one of the first on the scene, suffering injuries as he protected the public.
God of unfailing compassion,
Make us strong in the face of terror,
Loving in the presence of hatred,
Bold in our diversity,
always knowing
that you hand holds us
and your life sustains us,
today and always

Strange though it is to have an empty Cathedral, we are so appreciative of the space, light, and vision in this glorious building. It makes us think anew about the devotion in planning and creating places of worship. Somewhere for a community to be spiritually fed and uplifted.
Choral Services return to the Cathedral 🙏
We are delighted that after the publication of new guidance we are able to welcome back the Lay Clerks to the Cathedral and begin again the long tradition of choral services. Full details at the link 👇

Creator God,
with awe and wonder
we look on the beauty of the Earth;
with tears and sorrow
we see its brokenness and pain;
with hope and commitment
we look to the future
to a greener, cleaner, peaceful world,
an Earth that speaks of heaven.
Amen.
Thank you to the

First time in the Cathedral library today. Lovely space with lots of books, beautiful artwork and soft furnishings. It overlooks the River Thames. I saw a fish 😸

A truly stunning sunny afternoon here! So lovely to stand in the churchyard, welcoming people through the doors to pray and hearing the bustle of Borough Market beginning again.
Today we give thanks to our gardner Mark who maintains the churchyard and herb garden as well as the Cathedral Deanery garden. We are grateful for all he does to ensure our outside spaces in this busy part of London brings joy to others. Thanks Mark 👍
