This small box on my fridge contains more than 10 millions Smart Contracts that were verified since 2015. It's a 192GB snapshot from chads @verifalliance as of 10-Dec-2025, and as a cypherpunk - I just had to made it available as a torrent so this data never goes down. Open
Yesterday @etherscan rugged us all during @EFDevcon by completely removing Free API access for Base, Optimism and Binance chains. Etherscan has been providing the ecosystem with a very valuable and limited free API tier for many years and this is something we are all thankful

i love etherscan but unless im misunderstanding something, they have essentially paywalled verified contract code access for base, op, and bsc. open source contracts are a cornerstone of evm culture and this situation just goes to show the importance of @verifalliance

Etherscan turned off the Free API tier for certain chains like Base, Optimism etc. overnight. Sorry for all those affected. Don't get me wrong. Charging for products is fine. Etherscan is loved and used by many. For me the problem is verified contracts. Because contracts are
