The gun control legislation bills in Colorado right now will make it far more difficult and costly, if not impossible in many cases, for working class and marginalized folks to defend themselves. This will not prevent gun violence, but place an undue burden on the people.

This bill doesn't stand much chance, but shouldn't be ignored. It is delusional in its definition of "assault weapons," and it would greatly harm the ability for Coloradans, including the most vulnerable, to defend themselves with incredibly severe penalties for noncompliance.
