10/19/22 - This morning in Jenner, a Sea Lion got out of the water, climbed onto a states park car, and marine wildlife rescue came and picked it up for evaluation prior to relocation.

6 miniature ponies escaped and are trotting down Lakeville at Cannon.
Owner contacted and is coming to retrieve them. Will admonish said ponies and remind them that there is be No horsing around on main thoroughfares.

Not only do we recognize what a hectic night our law enforcement is having tonight and that helicopter hasn’t had a break, but we applaud our ambulance crews, nurses and ER Techs at the local hospitals for the multiple trauma alerts coming in tonight.

Thank you Miguel Ortiz (owner of Bay Area Bullies), he and others spotted a small fire yesterday (6/18/21) by River Road, and quickly took action, extinguishing flame while the fire dept was dispatched. Because of this, a potentially larger grass fire was avoided!

A good portion of the NWS weather stations in Sonoma County are now either in or close to Red Flag Conditions. Mt. St. Helena 71 mph sustained gusting 84 mph. Sonoma County airport 30 mph gusting 31 mph. Fountaingrove 10 mph gusting 27 mph, 8% RH.

Confirmed Mountain Lion sighting in Petaluma. Animal last seen east of Highway 101 and south of Corona Road. Emergency personnel are in the area, attempting to locate the animal. If you see the mountain lion, do NOT approach the animal and call 911.

The very very faint glow of fire along Chiles Pope Valley Rd in Napa is a flare up within the black of a previous fire. Four engines are on scene and will be able to handle, cancelling the rest of the vegetation fire response.
