If we continue to encourage and support the transition to regenerative agriculture, we can indeed tackle climate change and biodiversity loss simultaneously. @SavoryInstitute @soil4climate @UnderstandingAg @regeneration_in @AllanRSavory

As this image clearly shows, cows cause global warming. This is because only cows can fly planes. Therefore, to reduce global warming, we need less cows.

Nature and the vision of a regenerative food system are too often set ablaze by our addiction to viral negativity and self-righteousness. @regenfarming @ReGenNow @regeneration_in @SustainableDish @UnderstandingAg https://t.co/nNgbwjTsd5

In-fighting and dismissive assumptions without inquiry and empathy are barriers to creating a better food system.

Herders in this drought-stricken region have rehabilitated 4.7m acres of land via rotational grazing practices that will sequester 50m tons of CO2 over 30yrs, equivalent to the annual emissions from 10m+ cars. @grassrootscarbn @soil4climate @regenfarming

You cannot solve the problems created by the mechanical engineering mind by deepening it . Industrial food systems are at the root of of the multiple ecological crisis including climate change & biodiversity erosion.More intensive idustrialisation of food is not the solution

I understand people’s hostility to new food technologies, such as precision fermentation, just as I understood people’s hostility towards wind turbines in the 2000s. If you believe there is no problem to be fixed, you will bridle at the proposed solutions.🧵

“Regenerative agriculture is one of the few things …that doesn't seem to have that big of a trade off. It is better for the animals. It's better for the environment. It's better for the consumer. It's better for the rancher.” -@lewmoorman @SoilworksNC

@WorldBankWater @UN_Water @TheGwsp @WorldBank What *would* be helpful is restoring highly degraded soil to enable it to capture and store more rain, to recharge aquifers and replenish dried-up rivers (look at the riverbank erosion!). Not more wells, pumps, pipes, valves, etc. #HolisticPlannedGrazing https://t.co/yEPCh1Azf4

We need a discussion on how to account for soil data on the balance sheets of farming & ranching operations. Is it possible to create a single score that encompasses the soil health of agricultural land (similar to a corn suitability rating)? @AgFunder
