The English love to fuck each other over. Not as much as other cultures, but there's no honor even among family and the whole Anglosphere is worse for it. Instead we create layers upon layers of bureaucracy that gets co-opted into another mechanism to fuck each other over.
This would take 25 years, £3.5 billion, five governments and a bailout in the UK.

I believe not only should police be held to a higher standard, but police officers should all have the equivalant to a BA/BS's if not graduate degrees. We demand it of our teachers, why not those we trust to know and enforce our laws.
Police officers should be punished even harder than anyone else for breaking the law.
