I mostly agree that more women opt out of the labor force when the job market is weak BUT isn’t that a poor cultural value we should be up in arms about?.
The “opt out revolution” is back, and just like the media hype of 20+ years ago commentators are confusing a weakening labor market for a sea change in cultural values.

GREAT REMINDER. I'm all for charting schools from daycare through high school (I literally built @Winnie for this) but we often forget the number one best thing we can do for our kids is invest in our own health and happiness and our marriage (I too am guilty of forgetting this).
A bunch of Bay Area parents are out there math maxxing and charting schools from daycare through college, but forget a stable marriage/partnership is also highly correlated with wealth accumulation & financial stability.

This is a must read for founders! It took me awhile to really understand this, and once I did, I didn't raise another penny.
When I founded Divvy, I focused on building, our mission, & surviving. Like most early founders, I rarely thought about exit economics. Here's what I call 'acquisition math' - headline price vs equity value, pref stacks & what it means for founders.
