This is good advice for those of you up for awards or nominations, also. I have had to use a very specific set of skills to track down authors!
I did get in touch through email and they needed more time (talking ten days), but they still haven't sent anything. So... I've done my part.

192 official nominees this year for the Whitney Awards! I'm thankful for my committee, to the hundreds who nominated, to my 75+ first-round judges (I can't wait to see our finalist picks!) and to get to be a part of another record-breaking year celebrating authors and novels!

3 other ladies and I took about 15 teenage girls on a high adventure trip. Dispersed camping, canyoneering, Via Ferrata, a difficult hike. Every one of them had a reason it was challenging specific to them. Every one of them succeeded. Girls can and should do hard things!💪🩷

Playing with TikTok, I have had multiple AI filters turn me into an old dude with facial hair when I'm not wearing makeup, and a beautiful woman when I am. Do I have a super masculine face, or is AI already taught sexist stereotypes? Both?

Working on R&R & have another full request. It's been a month, but I had an awards program/gala to run, 3 kid b-days to get through, a new committee to set up & train, etc. Now I'm going on vacation w/little/no reception for 2 weeks. Am I taking too long?😓 #WritingCommmunity

My fellow Whitney Awards president homies @Kara_Reynolds7 , @EmilyInouyeHuey and me at the gala. I was thrilled when I could finally announce that Emily had won three(!) awards for BENEATH THE WIDE SILK SKY after two rounds of judging from our academy of almost 1000.

There's a free bookstore near me that also has a few stuffies. My 4-yr-old thinks it's amazing (she's right). She found a bear with a cupcake, but her bunny is named Cupcake, so she named it "Amazing Books," and now she says she can't sleep without Amazing Books (right again!) ❤️

I do this ! I actually saw a seagull with one around its neck. My dad caught it and saved it. I think I was 9, and I will cut them until I die.
Am I the only person who still cuts up these can holders because I saw a picture of a seagull tangled up in one of these things forty years ago?

I was just talking to someone about this. I'm an extroverted introvert. Maybe my aversion to phones/groups/crowds & the need to recharge has a lot to do with listening fatigue. Would I have been more outgoing if I'd had hearing aids earlier? #hardofhearing
