The Baron’s fire as it was called was fought by on and off duty (recalled) Parma firefighters, along with mutual aid from Parma Heights and Brooklyn. Several of the businesses which were destroyed would later reopen in other locations.

To be fair this was in Millbrae, CA, a southern suburb of San Francisco, and in another county, San Mateo County. Millbrae is a small and safe “bedroom” community and this type of thing is VERY unusual for that area.

There are way more air show accidents than you think, even in Europe. Several happened in the UK, the Airbus A320 (I think it was an A320) that flew into the woods in France, and the really bad one in Ukraine back in the day too.

There is history all around Cleveland, some of it tightly clustered, like the area around Lake Avenue and Detroit Avenue on the West Side. Ghost signs, old buildings, and even the carved stone lettering of a bank long gone are all visible.
