Every single person on the internet acting like they can clock the nationality of Bengalis by dialect (including the Bengalis claiming so) is embarrassing themselves. Funny thing is the one East Bengali dialect very familiar to people in Calcutta, is the Bhati dialect spoken by.

Apparently Bangladeshi Bengalis never say ‘bondhu’ (as we know, Mujib is called Bongodost) and ‘lobon’ is unheard of in the Indian side of the border. Too many language experts we’ve started seeing pop up across the internet.

It’s an inevitable consequence of the decades long racist campaign about asylum seekers and immigrants at large being ‘welfare seekers’ with zero pushback. Add to this the welfare cuts, and you can see why public anger is exploding at the most marginalised.
This is completely fucking insane! Asylum seekers CANNOT ACCESS WELFARE. They can't access it while waiting for their case to be heard, and can't access it even if they get approved. The fact that Brits think that this is the top reason is purely the result of press propaganda
