We have a great opportunity in #NY to pass the Packaging, Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act which will reduce the amount of toxic chemicals in plastic packaging and also reduce the amount of plastic used to package food! The health implications of plastic are frightening.
Microplastics have now been found in the human heart, lungs, brain, blood, testes, placentas, and breastmilk. Babies are being born pre-polluted by plastics. We MUST reduce the huge amount of plastic being produced and put into the marketplace, our bodies & the environment.

The toxic chemical DEHP, often found in plastic packaging, is linked to over 350K deaths worldwide! .Excessive plastic use and weak regulations are costing lives. My PRRIA bill would ban DEHP and 16 other harmful chemicals. It’s time to pass it.
