Congrats to Dylan and Stephen for their method to glycosylate cotylenol and access 14-3-3 protein-client molecular glues! Donor linker design was aided by Stephen’s “autoDFT” and solved a common problem in terpenoid synthesis: contrasteric glycosylation.

In this paper, 3rd year graduate student 李春雨 (Chunyu Li) synthesized 25 natural products (!!) using a method of in silico library selection. Chunyu is a new type of student in our lab, having seamlessly blended calculation and synthesis. Take a look:

2 papers posted today. #1 reports heterodimerization of benzyl radicals, generated and coupled by a single catalyst. The iron complex engages an alkene in two outer-sphere steps, in contrast to inner-sphere steps of precious metals. Congrats to the team!
