I ran into one of my students at the grocery store with some wine in my cart and he said “that’s because of us isn’t it?”

Students cannot be allowed to act however they want in classrooms. There must be accountability for actions. We are not preparing students for the workforce if they are allowed to be disrespectful in classrooms. This is also true at home. Parents must be parents.

School should be a place where: Kids want to go Staff want to go Families are proud to send their kids

My kid said he doesn’t want to be in a class with a gun. He wouldn’t feel safe. “A teacher with that much power��. Geez… gets upset…” he’s a 11.

The disgusting way grown adult people talk about educators is exactly why there is so much disrespect in schools. “Teachers failed you” “Teachers don’t know what they’re doing” “Teachers are the problem” … then you wonder why your kid can’t read. Maybe it’s your attitude.

People can be so hard on teachers but if they had to make 3000 decisions an hour they’d probably mess up sometimes too
