Life update:
Last night, my wife and I were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, our first born.
Mommy and baby are healthy, thank God.
I’m humbled and not sure quite the right words.
And I’m in awe of my wife’s strength
Walking in a subway car on the way home from work, I see two men look at me, the obviously Orthodox Jew, and say, “ima go beat his ass now”, and continue to stare at me.
Being a proud Jew in 2022 is fun.
“That fucken Jew. He’s got fucken aids. That fucken Jew”
This was just screamed at me on the streets on Crown Heights.
Just another day in New York. Just another day of rampant Anti semitism.
I stutter.
I block on lots of words.
It’s awkward at times.
But that doesn’t stop me from:
-Having an amazing wife
-Having a family
-Having tons of friends.
-Being an extrovert.
-Working at
@WSJ
-Speaking up in meetings
-Helping others
Be proud of who you are

I stutter.
I spent many years never calling people I don’t know.
It got easier over the years.
Speaking @ conferences, in work meeting, I use my voice
Today I got hung up on. So what did I do?
I called back. And got it out. They’ll wait for me. They’ll understand.
I stutter.
Just wanted to put it out there.
Met some people today that “love how open I am about it”
I have no choice. Gotta own it.
This week’s been particularly rough. Not quite flowing as usual.
And that’s ok.
✌🏽
The world lost a giant today.
Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky sadly passed away after a brutal illness.
He had a major part in building thousands of Jewish communities across the world as the unofficial leader of the Shluchim emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Him (man I know for 15 years): Congrats on your engagement!
Me: (Thanks him with a stutter)
Him: Relax. Just be calm.
Me: Nah, I just stutter.
Advice for every. person. ever.
If someone begins to stutter, do not tell them to relax.

Avraham Fried. Debatably the best Jewish singer of our generation.
Check it out.
I was pushed to go sing with him, and voila.
His songs have gotten me through some dark spots.

Stuttering
Was called on to speak today during a large meeting unexpectedly and had a hard time getting the words out.
And then pushed myself to call a new dental office to make an appointment. Was tough at first but got it done.
Pushed myself. Accomplished.
That’s all
I choose to not hide and cop out.
It’s gotten a lot better.
But there are days when it’s tough.
Yet I go on.
I make that flight change. I book that reservation.
We all have stuff that hold us back. We get pushed down.
Call again. And again. Until you win.
My dear friend Ephraim Moscowitz, a special man who literally outlived all his peers and created a dynasty in Chicago and beyond, has passed.
We shared a unique love and friendship.
It’s tough having close friends who are elderly, but it’s worth it.

Thankful for a job that allows for that.
I won’t ever regret that time.
