counselling. Just leave it, better opt for traditional law university. It'll save you a lot of money & you won't regret. Mostly, these places are breeding grounds for impunity, incompetent admin & apathy.
VC suffered a heart attack. Two students booked an ambulance but considering the waiting time they snatched keys from driver of a High Court judge and took the VC hospital in that car.
Later booked for Dacoity and were granted bail after furnishing bond of 50k each.
Arresting
@ChetanAhimsa
for calling out misogynistic remarks by a High court judge clearly shows that we have hit rock bottom. This is outrageous and must be condemned strongly and widely.

CJI DYC has brought tech revolution in functioning of SC. From making pass system online (you can get a pass in 2 mins) to new efilling portal which registers a case instantly. His contribution in terms of making practice easy in SC is incredible.
I am just jealous of students from CLC & BHU law dep. They literally are enjoying welfare state. Getting just the right amount of exposure required & literally without getting into debt. And the alumni base. Take me back in time when I wrote Clat.
For the first time visited the Supreme Court. You cannot yourself from feeling overwhelming intimidated because you don't know anyone & at the same time awestruck by the majesty and infrastructure of the court. Will be a hard time here.
On this constitution day this is an appreciation tweet for
@manwendratiwari
. The conventional teaching of constitutional law is reading the provisions as it is. But MKT has always encouraged us to critically examine provisions, judgements. We need more profs. like you sir.
Ironically, I was appearing in a case for mutual divorce before the Supreme Court on 14th Feb and it was item no. 1. Milords deferred the case for some time as they were reluctant to grant divorce the first thing on a valentine's day.
Online exams in a nutshell - Students find answers online - write them down. Verbatim - scan the pages - teachers are aware that the answer is copied but still have to evaluate it. What a waste of resources.
Jabalpur High Court's building pre-independence. Construction took three years 1886-1889 @ 3 lakh INR. Designed by Henry Irwin & owned by Seth Govind Das (member of constituent assembly), who then rented this building for government purpose for monthly rent of INR 1/month.
My piece on
#Jaibhim
. Though I liked the movie - there's something problematic. The rare heroism. Can a system be allowed to make people this vulnerable? Has every Senggeni found a rare hero? Can dignity be compromised on whim & fancy of the oppressor?
@Suriya_offl
I'm ridiculously done w this university. These lazy people won't publish provisional degree. The incompetence of people that it crowns as administrators. Bunch of losers w no motive in life.
Can anyone let me know what's pay as per industry standard? Every call for job I come across it mentions as per industry standards? What exactly is the standard of law industry?
Had the worst-first day in Delhi but as Faiz said-

I have an alternate opinion on this. Your Dad & his friend is absolut. correct. However, unlike PG in medical sciences, PG in law from Indian law schools is a farce barring a few. It definitely helps in holistic development if done in a right way from right place. (1/2)

has given up the exercise of felicitating with momentos. We now give paintings by the art club of university to honour our guests. It adds a personal touch & conveys our humble regards giving opportunity to students to showcase their talent. Hope you liked it :)
Idk semester endings are both mellow and saddening at the same time. You have time to explore yourself and with people leaving for hometowns and sad goodbyes it's kinda realisation that time is running fast, never going to come back- all you could do is cherish it.
This criticism of Prof. Faizan Mustafa is valid. Prof. Shamsul Islam makes a valid point it is not sc vs. muslims but a test of India's commitment to the polity which it manifested at the stroke of midnight.
After you are done with college your life is majorly a hustle to fit in. There's nothing much to it. Just that wake up go on work, come back and sleep.
Though
#NationalLawUniversities
exhibit a ‘national’ character, they are essentially state universities. There is a need to reconsider the current model of rapidly opening up new NLUs for providing quality legal education.
@Shaileshwar21
Never liked the idea of privatisation. But they must just privatise these NLUs. Anyways they are charging equivalent to private universities and are careless in functioning because they'll not run out of business.
Congratulations
@adityabpurie
for starting your academic journey as an educator at Law Prep Tutorials. May you give your students the kind of education we always aspired for.

Today I had an opportunity to talk to Dr. Muralidhar. While he is extremely humble, my question of what happened to his Maruti was posed at him for which he said litigation is tough but rewarding.
Good to see that a few juniors in

have picked up the habit of writing. There's no substitute to reading & writing in law school. In Adithya Variath's words achievement in any other activity is temporary, writing stays with you forever.
Great to find that many judges in the Delhi High Court are kind enough to appreciate young advocates arguing. Whether it be through small appreciative comments or by asking the opposing senior counsel not to interrupt while the young counsel argues.
@BhattRohin
PhD is crucial but keeping it as minimum eligibility for Assistant Professorship is quite problematic. If looked from the lens that not everyone is equipped w luxury of completing PhD w/o earning. Especially it was gate- keeping for marginalised.
This (& a few other fake, frivolous & anonymous/pseudonymous letters) is how I am being harrassed at my workplace. It's done with a purpose. And with the assumption that as a woman, I'd hide it, be ashamed of it. It does deteriorate my mental health manifolds, but I will hold on.
The Madhya Pradesh government has recently introduced an amendment making three years practice a mandatory requirement to appear for judicial services examination at the civil judge level. Are the requirements based on an intelligible differentia?

I remember having conversation with an authority in some other NLU over finances, all I said was "our money" - they said "not students, administration's". But Prof. Mustafa calling it students money is chilling. VCs must learn from him.
I speak to Prof.

With the aim of encouraging young minds to delve into academic writing, the DNLU Student Law Journal board organised a virtual lecture-cum-workshop on academic writing with Mr Adithya Variath (Asst. Prof., MNLU Mumbai) as our Guest Speaker. (25.11.2022)
Just because Ambedkar and Congress were at opposition. That doesn't mean BJP is the rightful heir of Ambedkar's legacy. The piece is a blatant attempt of appropriation politics. Everybody wants to own Ambedkar, nobody wants to own his principles.
For the first time the position of the President is being used to bring such issues into mainstream. This is the only reason why representation is important - nobody spoke about the marginalised before. A single comment from a tribal President is enough to move the wheels.

One may not agree w RSS & BJP ideologically but the way even an ordinary memeber of Sangh can approach high officials, ministers and senior leaders of BJP is mind blowing, especially the hospitality. Organisational skills every other party must adapt.
